The Only Fourth Sunday Of February 2013

February 24th, 2013

Hello! How are you today? Bloobloobla blablablablooblooblablablabla!!

Okay, that was Bobbi telling me what to say because I really wanted to do a post and didn’t know what to say. After that… stuff… up there, I decided that anything I say has got to be better than that. (Sorry, Bobbi!!)
We went to church this morning!  ’Cause… it’s Sunday. Our church worships with instruments, which makes me rather sad, but in our town, it would seem that a church will either have good lessons or good singing. (And we would know because we have visited countless churches in our town.) So we chose the one with good lessons, and I suppose I shouldn't say good because they are exceptional. :D
Dysprosium has a weird sleep schedule, so after the church service, she went to sleep on the front row, which was fine until she decided to move and no one knew where she went. Sooo… we left church without her. (She’s 23, she can handle herself)
Let’s see, what else… OH!! On the way to church, I saw a car that had a power cord sticking out of their hood. I would’ve gotten a picture, but I didn’t have my camera.
I played on the Wii with Vanadium… (which doesn’t happen often, because I’m not a huge gamer)
Theeen… I watched some Star Trek: Voyager episodes. Not an exciting day, but I really wanted to do a post, so here it is!

My Saturday

February 16th, 2013

Okay, first of all, I’m changing up my siblings’ names on here. (Sorry!) It was pointed out to me that I referred to my siblings in numbers as well as The Doctors, and it got confusing, sooo… One is Dysprosium, Two is Titanium, Three is Lanthanum, Five is Vanadium, Six is Nitrogen, Seven is Meitnerium, Eight is Carbon, Nine is Potassium, and Ten is Argon.
Today started as an average Saturday. I woke up late and practically immediately got on the Internets. After a while, when I was on Facebook, I discovered that my dear friend Nichole was on as well. So after talking to her for a little while, I realized that she wasn’t doing her work either. A brilliant plan struck me After a moment, I had an idea, and put it Nichole in the form of a suggestion. She accepted it, and so we would get off of Facebook for a half hour, tell each other what we did, and then repeat the cycle. It helped me a considerable amount, and I achieved most of my goals in about an hour. (Trust me, that’s a bit of a record)
We had a younger couple over for lunch, which was super fun, ’cause I’m extroverted, and as an extrovert who is very often at home with no visitors, it didn’t matter if they didn’t talk to me much. Let’s see…
Honestly, not much happened, but in a previous post on a different blog, I answered random questions, and one of the questions was ‘what is your happiest memory?’, or something along those lines, and I remembered my surprise Birthday party from last year! And theeen I read a post about a fellow Whovian’s Birthday where she had a TARDIS cake, sooo I figured I’d post pictures of my schweet TARDIS cake!

And with that, I’m off to bed, because it’s late, and I’m tired! :D

Guess What? We Had ANOTHER Birthday.

February 8th, 2013

So Five had his fifteenth anniversary of emerging from our Mother today, which hasn’t quite settled in my brain yet. With this Birthday… I kind of can’t write a story about his birth, because I was only two, or rather, 22 months old that day.
Sooo… ummm… I suppose I’ll say that when we were little, we got into so much trouble together. I would come up with something (irresponsible and not helpful) that we could do, and then we would do it together. However, when we got older, Five got responsible, and I… got older, which raised expectations.
But anyway! Somehow, I slept for nearly 13 hours. My ability to stay asleep never fails to amaze me. But that’s another story.
Today, we had a girl and her infant son over for the entirety of the day, and Two and her husband (I may as well use their ship, so expect that in future) came over later.
Um, we didn’t actually do a whole bunch for Five’s Birthday, partly because he’s not a very talkative fellow, and we could hardly know exactly what he wanted, but more than that, we barely do parties since our Mother isn’t the best at planning those sorts of things. So it was a normal day until supper, at which point Branzah (my sister and her husband) came over, and we had a chocolate double-decker cake that Three created, as well as ice cream, :D and Five got a couple of letters, one from our Grandma, and one from Branzah.
Oh, and!! We watched The Patriot, since we wanted to watch a movie, and we had Five decide. His decision surprised me a bit, but The Patriot’s a pretty good movie, although at one point, it got too sad to bear and I moved to main side, where I found the little girls watching Gnomeo and Juliet.
In any case, at this very moment, I’m watching Invader Zim while I wait for my friend Nichole to get on Facebook so we can watch a Doctor Who episode at the same time, and I’m really hoping she’ll get on soon, because we set an estimate of her getting on at 10:30, and now it’s 11…
Random quote: “Hey! That’s the guy! And he’s back for moooooooooore!!!!! …GET ‘IM!!”
Yeah, um, I don’t know how to finish this post. Goodnight! Or… good day. Or whatever time you end up reading this. :D

A Visit To a College

February 6th, 2013

So I visited a college today. (Blehhh…) It was actually kinda fun. I got a cool pen…

…they had pizza, and they were really nice and funny! After the introductory (which I’m not going to go over because it’s not important :D ), we took a tour. I didn’t go with the full group because it was too big, but I went with about half the group and a few of the teachers.
We went to the medical assistant classroom first, and apart from the fact that it looked like a real doctor’s office, the floor and the not-very-well-lit room made me think of Portal.

(Except it looked more like Portal when I had forgotten what exactly it looked like, and besides, I couldn’t find a picture of the office in level 20.)
Next, we went to the dental assistant room, where there were a whole bunch of dental beds with plastic heads on them. (‘Twas creeeepy…) Theen we went to the massage therapy classroom, (which was actually why I was there) aaand… let’s just say I was unsure about my choice of what lesson I wanted to take, but I still wouldn’t mind it, because I’m fairly decent at giving random people back massages, which makes them happy which makes
me happy. And then we went to the place where they give massages (because it would seem that when the students get higher, they actually give people massages), and it looked really relaxing. Aaand theeen we went to the automotive technician classroom (which was more than a classroom, they seem to give students a lot of hands-on work stuff), which smelled of oil and had many cars and car parts.
So… um… the best bits about going to that information meeting were…
1. Getting pizza and soda
2. Getting a cool pen
3. Getting a Kit-Kat bar
and
4. The funny people
I… will most likely not be going to this college… but it was fun just the same!! :D

By The Way, I'm a Whovian

January 31st, 2013

So as you may have noticed by now, I’m very much a Whovian, and today, I found a Doctor Who quote test, and I thought that it sounded super fun! So I took it, and I quickly realized that they had no quotes from the new series. Which was rather sad-making, since I’m very well-versed in those episodes (which just shows how much I don’t have a life), and although I’ve seen several classics, I don’t know them as well.
In any case, I still did it. Many of them were guesses, but there were four quotes that I knew what episodes they were from as well as knowing which Doctor said it, so I think I deserve extra points for that. Here are the quotes that I knew just about everything about… (and if you’re planning to take this quiz, take it before reading these answers.)

“I am he, and he is me.” Three said this to Jo Grant while they were in the TARDIS, and not long after Two had appeared. This quote was from The Three Doctors, and I even know Jo’s response, “and we are all together, coo-coo ca-choo?”
“An apple a day… no, never mind.” Five said this in Kinda.
“So you’re my replacements (, then)? A dandy and a clown[.]” One said this to Two and Three in The Three Doctors. For some reason, whoever wrote this quiz left out the ‘then’, and made the second sentence a question as well. Although I suppose I could be the one remembering it wrong.
“Shoes.” Three said this in Spearhead from Space, and although it seems strange that I’d remember that, you’ll have to trust me when I say that Jon Pertwee made it very memorable.

In any case, I got a 110, having missed eighteen. I was classified as normal fan. …
This is what the site says…
“While not as interesting as the finatical fan, you are, at least, a more well adjusted human being.  You love the show but do realize that it is just a TV show. (Wow, that was hard to type!)  You’ve never written Jerry Springier begging for a, “My Dalek, My Lover” episode or sat for hours, trying to figure out exactly how Glitz expected to get Ace back to Earth since he comes from a time after the Earth was supposedly destroyed, or why Leela left the Doctor to marry a man she hardly knew and live on a planet where she would be constantly indoors and not allowed to have a knife… You simply love the show and accept these little inconsistencies. (Although the mere idea of Leela consciously deciding to live indoors without weapons or any excitement at all for the rest of her life is so utterly ludicrous it makes me want to… oh, wait… sorry about that.  You’ll have to excuse me.  I’m a finatical fan….)”
First, is a finatical fan an actual term? I wonder if they meant a fanatical fan, although that would be a bit redundant. Second, I will admit that I’ve never written Jerry Springier, mostly (well, actually, probably entirely) because I’ve never heard of him, and I suppose I’ve never thought about Glitz thinking he could take Ace back to earth, but I did, in fact, think it strange that Leela (and I’m not linking to a Wikipedia page for her for a reason) just left The Doctor like that for a life such as that. And as long as we’re talking about girls leaving The Doctor randomly, let’s not forget Vicki, who also left The Doctor to stay in the medieval times only a few days after meeting a guy. There was also Susan, but I suppose it was more The Doctor dumping her than her deciding to leave (and he said he’d come back, too! I’m starting to think that he didn’t mean it. Either that, or he forgot about his own Granddaughter…).
They have a step up from a normal fan, and I suppose I don’t fit that description, but I fit that more than I fit the normal fan, and I barely got into the normal fan classification. For some reason, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a higher score, even though I know I’m so much more of a Whovian than the creator/s of that quiz make me out to be.

So Many Birthdays!

January 29th, 2013

Today my sweet little sister Ten had her Birthday, and she is now 3. It’s funny ’cause the days leading up to her Birthday, whenever we told her that she’d be turning 3, she just said, “two!” and held up two fingers, and she even did that today, until she blew out her candles, and then whenever we asked her how old she was, she would try to hold up three fingers. She would probably say ‘three’ as well, but I’m not sure she quite knows how. Now time to ramble on about the day of her birth!!
Three years ago, Mom was huge. Seriously, it looked like she had a beach ball under her shirt, it looked so fake. But anyways, we were expecting her any day (and I’ll admit that I really hoped she’d be a boy, or twin boys), and she wasn’t actually born until 8ish. We were in the middle of  The Bishop’s Wife, and Mom was reclined on a chair, when suddenly, she decided to go to a back room, and she told Dad to call the midwife, I thiiink… and when we played it, I felt like we should’ve waited for Mom to come back, but One (maybe Two, I don’t remember if she was there or not) and Three said that we didn’t have to wait for her, so after the movie was over, we waited at the door of the other side of the house* for a while, hoping that Dad and Mom would let us see our new sibling, (at that point, we knew she was a girl) and I was so very happy when I was finally allowed over to Northside** to see my beautiful, (healthy) baby sister! The first day, she was just about the sweetest, quietest newborn, taking everything in with fascination, and making eye contact with everyone. However, for about 8 months after that, the only times she didn’t cry was when she was sleeping (in someone’s arms, if someone put her down, she’d wake up and start crying again) and when she was being fed. Now, she is such a help, and so very clever! One of the things I love about her is that her sense of humor developed at such a very young age, possibly at about 18 months. I love my Beast*** so much.

*We have a second part of the house because my Grandparents used to live with us on a separate part of the house that we would generally stay out of, just so we wouldn’t disturb them. Later, they moved into a helping home, then, after my Grandpa died, my Grandma moved up to Montana where my Uncle and Aunt live.
**Northside is what we call the aforementioned side of the house, ’cause it’s on the North side of the house.
***When Ten was littler, after she finished her crying days, she’d always get into trouble, as babies tend to do, and she earned the nickname Beast, which morphed into things like “Beastie”, and “Beastironi”, and sometimes I tell her she’s beastarific.

Stuffness (With Pictures!)

January 29th, 2013

Okay, so this was meant to be posted yesterday… but I was distracted. By something shiny.
It snowed today! That’s my first news. I tried to take a picture… but it didn’t turn out too well. Here’s my attempt. You can kiiinda see the snow falling…

Also, a few months ago, last year sometime… I sorta scribbled the starship Enterprise (from Star Trek: The Next Generation) on a small whiteboard we have, and I took a picture for some reason, and I’ve decided to put it on here ’cause there’s nothing else I’m gonna do with it… :)

Also! Only last week I decided to paint my fingernails, (which I never do… but I decided (again) to take a picture, sooo… here.

The other hand is the opposite, but not as neat, because I’m right handed…
So… there’s the lot. :D
