The Marvelous Month of May

June 1st, 2014
So May happened! I don't know if you noticed... it's kinda going quickly! Or it is for me, anyway. :) Early in May, my mum and I went about looking to get me involved in speech and debate next semester! :) Then later, we kept a family at our house who were doing in a speech and debate tournament, and that was quite fun. I didn't get to talk to them much because they were gone almost all day, but I still enjoyed talking to them when I got the chance! And then the last day, Mum and I visited to watch the last debate and to watch the awards ceremony! Then I stayed with the family at the building, helped clean up, and  then went to a restaurant with everyone involved in the tournament! ...Food costs a lot...
Then Lanthanum came home from college! She also brought along her friend Danielle from college, who was very nice! I enjoyed having her very much! Over her visit, Lanthanum had her 21st birthday! She went out with Danielle, and had a loverly time, I'm sure! :) They went to this place where you can paint pottery sorts of things, and then you leave while they glaze and fire it, and then come back later for your thingy! :D They painted ice cream bowls! So while they were out, I made chocolate cupcakes and things, which was very fun!

I made Lanthanum a larger thing with chocolate chips on top in the shape of a heart!

Then later that day, the day before Danielle had to leave, Lanthanum and Danielle took me with them up to this mountain, where you can drive about and see all the beautifulness up there! :) Plus, we live in a valley, so from the mountain, you could see the whole city! :) I enjoyed it immensely! It was so much fun and so beautiful!
Oh, and I finished school for the semester on theee... 16th! Although I had basically finished it sometime earlier that week... I can't remember what day. :D But I had a bit more school on Friday because we do videos for school on Friday, so I pretty much finished school then. But anyway! That was exciting! I'm still not graduated from high school... Probably won't be for another year and a half!
I don't think much else happened that week, but on the 25th, my sister Titanium had her son! I know, I didn't mention that she was pregnant... I'm not sure why not. :D But anyway, I'm an aunt! After church, we went to the hospital and saw him! I didn't think to bring my camera to church even though I knew what was going on and that we would probably stop past the hospital after church... so I didn't get any pictures of the dear little Corban, which was rather disappointing, but I'm glad I got to see him!
For Memorial Day, my cousin Justyne Kayce and her dad came out! My uncle left before it got too late, but Justyne stayed until nearly midnight... :D We were playing a Lord of the Rings game that my family got for Christmas last year! :D That game is so long, especially if you don't really know what you're doing... Sauron won. D: That was because we were just ready to go to sleep, I think... :D I have a picture of the board somewhere!

Then on the 29th, my grandmother on my mother's side came to visit from Nebraska! She's still here! :) And I'll be leaving before her, because I'm leaving for a camp on the 7th.
Oh, and we have butterflies!! :D Mum bought a thing that had ten caterpillars, and you keep them in these jars with food stuff at the bottom until they turn into chrysalises, then you move them to this large thing with a netting until they turn into butterflies! Though we can only keep them for about a week as butterflies, then we have to release them. But it's still so exciting! ...There are actually only eight left... one of the caterpillars died before forming his chrysalis, and another one made it to a chrysalis, but then never emerged. He looked like he was split open. Oh, and we named about three of them! :D Though... we can't tell them apart now... :D Anyway, we named the first one who formed his chrysalis Chris because... he was the first one to form a chrysalis... then we named another one George because he kept poking at Chris all curious-like! :D And then we named the chrysalis that died Billy Bones... because when he split open, this black goo came out. We didn't realize what it was at first, we just thought he had a random black spot, so... :D Anyway, I have pictures!

This is one of the chrysalises about half an hour or so before he emerged! You could see his wing through the chrysalis, but I'm not sure it showed up really well in the picture. :)

Also, I have a video of that same chrysalis with the butterfly emerging!

Okay, worthy of note! I hadn't seen Corban for the rest of May, but today, I saw him again! :) I was able to go over to Branzah's house with Grandma and Lanthanum! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera... :D He's a cutie, though!
Okay, that's it for May! Have a fantastic day, all!

I'm Now Officially an Adult!

April 27th, 2014

In this post, someone is included that I've mentioned in previous posts as Jj, but I'm now going to call him James, since I know him better now and so I'm more able to pick a more suited name. :)
First of all, I realized that I forgot to mention some things in my last post! First of all, in March, before the wind blew away all the blossoms, our apricot tree looks reaally pretty! I'm not a good photographer at all, but I still got pictures! :)

Secondly, on Valentine's Day, something actually happened! :D James got me a Minecraft (this one game) necklace! :)

The fun bit is that it's a diamond... :D

So my eighteenth birthday was on the 17th this month! That was ten days ago already... that went quickly. :) The evening on the day before my birthday, Wednesday the sixteen, my friend James came over on the train! We had to wait at the station for very nearly an hour because the train was late... that was fun, especially since I didn't think to bring a book or anything. :D I mostly passed the time by counting because I'm impatient, although I had to start over several times because I get distracted and then I'm also terrible with numbers, so I forgot where I was and then started over. :D My brothers, who were sitting next to me, really appreciated that. Anyway, then James finally arrived and we kidnapped him (though he didn't resist at all... the fact that he had nowhere else to stay might have had a little to do with it). Then we ate foods and my siblings met him! Argon, the youngest, liked him pretty much immediately, which is saying something since this is Argon I'm talking about. :D Then we sang! My family will often get together (usually at night because one, we're night owls, and two, that's when it usually works best for us. Though I suppose most of the reason then works best for us is because we're night owls... :D I think that's it, so I guess we spent a lot of time talking! :) Talking is fun.
Now onto my actual birthday! :) In the morning, we went to a place called MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers), where many of us babysit. :) It's a bit difficult to explain, but I think I explained in a previous post that you can read if you have that much time or interest or both. :) So I babysit in the room with the 4's and 5's (there are a bunch of kids and they're split up into groups according to age), which means Argon, who's four now, is in that room with me. And naturally, James came along with me to the 4's and 5's. He got along with all the kids really well. I personally think that's because he practically is a child, so of course he gets along with them well. :) That day, we had an Easter egg hunt, since it was nearly Easter, and that was quite fun, I thought! Even though I didn't get any eggs... :D Then after MOPs, we went home and ate lunch! And then we got out Lincoln Logs! The boys didn't contribute much, though, because they were busy playing a video game on James's computer... :D So we played with the little girls, and also, I know we went outside for a while! We played on our swing set and James, Meinerium and I climbed the willow in our yard! Though I did most of the climbing. :D I love that tree! Oh, and James and I were going to make a peach pie that day, but the peaches that James had brought over were kinda weird and we were afraid to put them in a pie, so we threw them out for the deer to eat, and we joked that we were going to poison them... :D Then, since Mum was going out with Dysprosium anyway, she said she'd get some peaches while she was out, and the little girls, Meinerium, James and I went on a short walk! The little girls wanted to show a mailbox that literally looks like a fish to James. :) So that was lovely, short as it was! :) Later, my aunt, uncle, and my cousin came over! Oh, and my aunt and uncle made ice cream! Their ice cream is always so wonderful. :) While they were over, Daddy did a Bible study for my birthday! :) And that summarizes my eighteenth birthday! :) 'Twas grand! Oh, though I think I'll mention that for my birthday, James's sister Rose got me a candle! It's really neat because it looks like a tea cup on a saucer, but it's actually a candle! :)

Next was Friday! James and I helped Mum with breakfast! I feel that's note-worthy, for some reason. :) Mum cooked up the bacon (well, turkey bacon... it has less fat and we like it more, okay?) while James and I tried to make birds in a nest with a blanket (basically, toast with a fried egg in the middle and cheese on top)... we succeeded for the most part. :D It still tasted good, we just didn't fully know what we were doing. :) Then we played with the Lincoln Logs for a bit! Oh, and James, Meinerium and I had a short Nerf gun battle with me and James against Meinerium! ...Meinerium won... really easily. :D I think it was after that when I went inside and played one of James's games on his computer! :) Then I think we had lunch before and then had a bigger Nerf gun battle with all three of the boys! :) It was me and Vanadium against James and Meinerium with Nitrogen as a neutral party, attacking anyone he could. :D For the record, I killed James twice the amount of times he killed me. :D ...He killed me once... do the math. Am I not amazing?? :D Oh, then I think was when we watched Megamind! James hadn't seen it yet, so it had to be fixed. :D It's fixed now! Also, at one point that day, we watched something called Drive Through History! It's educational and so fun that I'll sometimes watch it just for watching it, like I did then. :) I know that it was Friday that James and I played Clue with the little girls (I won), but I can't seem to remember the order of anything that day. :) Also, because I like coloring, James, the little girls and I colored these... coloring pages... and it was way fun! :) I think it was about then that we went to this... something meal... oh, seder! Seder meal. :) It was being held at my church building, so we all went there to see what it was about. I could barely hear the guy who was talking and besides that, the child in me was telling me to have fun, so though it started out as a serious thing about the Jews, it quickly became me having fun! :D I didn't leave the table, and I'm mature enough to be quiet about it, but I honestly just enjoyed the whole thing! :) There was a candle and so obviously, I played a good bit with that, and somehow, just a bit of wax showed up on my plate somehow... I also kept eating this bitter herb dipped in saltwater even though everyone at the table really disliked it, and I didn't love it, but I just couldn't stop eating it! :D Oh, oh, and since we were instructed to, we dipped this sort of cracker into this sort of horse radish mixture and James put a good bit into his mouth, immediately died, and it was absolutely hilarious. :D Not that I knew what it was, but it was fun watching. :D And then I hesitantly tasted just the tiniest bit of it and completely understood... :D Not that that made it any less fun! :D When it was over, James and I went over to the dessert table and instead of eating desserts, ate these crackers that were on the table! :D Because we're grand like that. Nitrogen eventually joined us, but goodness, they just tasted so amazing! I didn't even want the desserts. :D Oh, although James did try one of the cookies and they apparently didn't taste very good... :) So maybe that contributed a bit to my not wanting any of the desserts. :D
Then Saturday! We had planned to go shooting, but it rained, so we ended up not. :) I went about my chores as usual, and James helped me a fair amount. :) Which included cleaning up the Lincoln Logs the fun way! :D (Destroying everything and pretending a tornado hit it and then put it all away..) We finally made the peach pie for my birthday that day! :) I had meant to take a picture earlier, but I had forgotten, so the picture came after I cut it in half. :) Still, I think we did quite a good job on it!

The juices spilled out just a bit, but it tasted quite good, although oddly enough, quite lemony. I also played a good bit more on James's computer that day! James and I went outside with the little girls for a while, and I read Harry Potter out loud to James! (He hasn't read the series and isn't much of a book reader, so I've been reading it to him.) Then my family called us in to watch a movie called the Book Thief with them. However, I know that that was near the end of the day, so I must have forgotten something... unless my chores along with computer playing really took that long. :)
Now Sunday... the last day. :) Everything has an end, and I am so grateful for the time I had with such a good friend and the brilliant birthday I had because of it. :) Mum, James and I all got up early so we could go to the Sonrise service that morning before taking James back to the train station to go home. James had packed up his stuff the night before and we took everything out to the car Sunday morning, gave him some banana bread for the train ride home, and took him to church. After the service, they served breakfast, which was rather good, and then we left for the train station. The train, naturally, arrived early - although I suppose any time it arrived would have been too early in my mind. :) Thus, James's visit came and went, and though it felt like he stayed for an eternity, at the same time, it feels like his visit only lasted for a day or so. Either time is strange or my perception of it is. :)
Moving on to more recent things, because I think I should, on the 25th, we all went to this art place! :) It was really neat - there were airbrush painters, pastel painters, blacksmiths... the list goes on! They each showed some of their work and described what they did! It was soo cool! :) I forgot to bring my camera, though.
So that's all I have! For now, good day! :)

Shooting, Birthdays, and Nearly Fainting, Oh My! (Additionally, an Update on Everything)

April 25th, 2014

Note: If you want to know the order my siblings are in and their ages and genders, you can go to this page. It tells all. :)

Okay, so I have been terrible about blog posting for the past, like, year... or nearly, something like that. :D Time. Anyway, I apologize for not posting for forever, although I'm not entirely sure why I'm apologizing, because I probably only have about six readers. :D So I'll do my best to summarize everything! Thouuugh my memory kinda fails me...
Let's see... the 31st of October was my mum's birthday! I made her chocolate cake and my aunt and uncle came over and made their ice cream! Theeen the first of November was rather eventful! First, we went shooting at something called Project Appleseed (perhaps you've heard of it?) in the morning, although only Dad, Dysprosium, Vanadium, Nitrogen and I went. Then in the evening, I went to a Halloween party hosted at our church, along with Mum, Carbon, Potassium, and Argon, which was quite fun!
The next thing that happened that was actually exciting was I almost fainted on the seventh of November! Most of my siblings and I went to get our eye exams (yes, we all have glasses... practically. Meinerium doesn't, and I expect he'd want me to make that known, so there it is. :) Also, Argon doesn't have glasses either, and though I'm pretty sure Potassium needs glasses as well, she never wears any, so I guess she doesn't need any. But Vanadium nearly never wears his glasses either, so it's basically just confusing. :D ), and I needed to have my pupils dilated because my mum had weak retinas when she was younger, and it's hereditary, so she wanted that checked out, especially since it was cheaper or free to have it fixed if I was under 18, which I was at the time. After my pupils dilated and the doctor checked for it and told me I was fine, I found that I felt really light-headed and almost like I wanted to throw up. Then Mum gave me this look. One of panic and fear. She told me that my face was getting really pale, and when it got what Mum said was "chalk white", she told me to sit down and put my head in between my knees because I needed to get the blood to rush to my head. Mum has experience with fainting, so she told me that that's what I was about to do. I almost wanted to just stand up and take it just so I could say that I fainted (I may never get another chance!), but I decided to not panic my mom even further and to obey orders. So when we left there, they gave me these sort of sunglasses (but not half as cool) so my eyes would be safe from all the sunlight, but I actually found that it was fine. Oh, by the way, I do have a picture of that!

My brothers told me I looked like an alien. They're so encouraging. :D
Then we had two birthdays - one on the 8th and one on the 10th! Carbon's 9th birthday was on the 8th and... oh! We had cupcakes! I'm not sure what flavor they were, but goodness, they were fantastic! I'm almost positive Titanium made them! Titanium actually organized the whole party. :) Mum's not very good at that sort of thing. So anyway, we invited several of her friends over and I only really remember one game which was like bingo but with flowers! I was the caller. :) Also, there were prizes, which were headbands with a flower on them and flower clips! Everyone got one. :) I'm not sure what else we did, but I'm sure Carbon had a fantastic day!
Then Meinerium had his twelfth birthday! He's so big now, I can hardly believe how quickly that happened. :) To my memory, we didn't do anything special for his birthday, although I believe I made him a chocolate cake. (Is there any other kind? :D )
Then we got to keep my brother Bryant (he's biologically my cousin, but we all think of him as a brother) from very late the first of December to too early (anytime he leaves is too early) on the fifth. :) I had much fun during his visit. He gave me some tips on juggling, and bought me a book so I could learn more while he's away!
Next was Christmas! :) We got Branzah (that's my sister Titanium and her husband, we combine their names) that year! They trade off between us and Titanium's in-laws. :)

Oh, and our tree wasn't a tree this year because we couldn't get one, so we just set up Christmas lights in the shape of a Christmas tree and added decorations! :)

I had a fantastic day, and got TARDIS socks, which I love!

Now I suppose I'll move on to Nitrogen's 14th birthday, on the 4th of January this year! I can hardly believe that kid is 14 already. Goodness, I love him. :)
So I guess a lot more things have happened than I thought I remembered... :D Going through it like this puts it into perspective! Oh, by the way, for a good while now, I think since November or December last year, I've been planning to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) for my first time this year! Along with a friend's help, I've been putting together the world and soon, I hope to plan a plot or something! :) I'm very excited. Did I mention I like writing? :D
Potassium turned 7 on the 15th of January! I actually don't remember what we did... although I know she got a lot of gum, because in my family, when you turn seven, then you're old enough to chew gum, so seven is the year of gum! :D It's very exciting.
Then Argon turned 4 on the 29th of January! (Yeah, we have three January babies. It's kinda crazy. :) ) Goodness, what a sweet girl she is. :) I can't believe she's four years old already!
Vanadium's sixteenth birthday was on February 8th! He got his driver's license... I'm quite proud of him, but considering that I don't have my license yet makes me a bit envious, admittedly. It's just, I'm older... and he even learned to ride a bike and a motorcycle before me! I feel like he did a lot of mature things like that before me... :D At least I'm likely to get married before him, though. Not that I'm implying anything, it's just that it seems like girls get married at an earlier age than guys aaand I'm two years older... so. :D But it would be hilarious if he got married before me as well! :D
Let's seeee... I think that covers all the birthdays! So on the first day of spring, I decided to go out and have a tea party with my little sisters, Carbon, Postassium, and Argon! That was fun. :) I have a tea set, so we used that, although we had Argon use her plastic tea set for two reasons: one, I didn't have enough cups. Two, Argon is only four and I wasn't going to trust her with my china tea set. :D So I have a couple pictures from this!

That was quite a fun day! :) I might make it annual, but we'll see. What was nice was that it was actually warm out!
Okay, so it's currently 10:18 at night, and because I still have a good bit to say (mostly, if not all, about my birthday and thereabouts), I think I'm going to end this post here considering its length already and do a completely different one for my birthday! :) Good day for now!

Season Transitions

October 17th, 2013

Hey, guys, I'm alive!
So today's my half-Birthday! Meaning I'll be 18 in six months... *refuses to believe it* But anyway, I guess I'll talk about today... and then get into other things!
MOPs has started again, and I actually got to go today! :) I've had a cold for... *checks things* ...about two and a half weeks, and so missed the last one. But I'm doing much better, and thus got to go today! I meant to bring my camera and take pictures, but it sort of slipped my mind. But anyway, there was this four year old boy named Skyler who's just absolutely adorable. :) I... I can't figure out exactly what it is about him, but he's really cute (in terms of a little kid), and at one point, I sort of attacked him with my hair (which is at a decent length), and he said that my hair was scary, which I found hilarious. :D And the shy, quiet boy I mentioned in number two of my Thoughts While Babysitting came again this year since he was 4 last year and is now 5. I'm definitely going to miss him next year. Anyway, his name's Carter and he has really curly blond hair, which makes me think of a good friend of mine whom I call Uncle Kenny. I loved that on the first day of MOPs this year, Carter came right up to me and showed me his new Perry the Platypus shoes as though a mere two weeks had passed since he'd last seen me. It made me really happy. :) And today, he came over to me as soon as he came into the room and starting playing with me. ^_^ I definitely get the feeling he's on the autism spectrum, which I find super cool. Thaaat's about all on today, though I did go to the chiropractor, but that's not exactly an exciting thing.
So the last of my summer was uneventful, but good, for the most part. :) Then I started school in the beginning of September, and even though I was really nervous 'cause I have a good bit this year, it wasn't that difficult, and it's still not hitting me that hard. I don't really have much more than that, but since I've been sick for a really long time, Dysprosium wrote with washable crayons of some sort on my bathroom mirror which made me happy! :)

This is the closest you're gonna get to a picture of me. And yes, that's an Invader Zim shirt! Titanium gave it to me recently. It makes me happy. :D

And I don't have anything else, so for the time being, good day!

Writing

June 15th, 2013

I was on an Internet fast for June, so this was originally on paper. But after I got back from mah fast, I did a post on everything I did. You can find that here.

...Wow, I'm observant. *sarcasm alarm goes off* This was supposed to post automatically a while ago and didn't. It's now October (of 2013), and I only just noticed.

-----------

I guess I like writing because it's my way of escaping. I've always wanted to to sword fight, fly, use magic, ride a horse through unexplored lands, and other sorts of things without actually being in danger.
We don't have holodecks, so writing's the closest I can get. I suppose there are video games too, but there are few games that are what I like. Legend of Zelda's the closest, except maybe Fate. Or Wizard101. Or, I guess, Adventure Quest, although if it were me, I'd wear more.
What I really want is a Pick-A-Path in a really schweet world with unlimited options. I suppose everyone wants that, though. Holonovel! What I really want is a holonovel. But alas, no holodeck.
I think I could write a really good holonovel. I'd base it off the only Pick-A-Path I tried to write. See, I had it start with you waking up in the clearing of a forest, and there's this path real nearby, and there are a coupla dudes travellin' along it. Oh, and in the clearing, there's this rock with a weird symbol on it, buuut if you look closely at it, it becomes a letter. :)
Anyway, it wasn't thought through very well. But if it were a holonovel, all I'd have to do is program the world and then all the people. Sure, it'd be time consuming, but it would be absolutely worth it. It would probably be really popular, too! I think I'd rock as an authoress in the Star Trek 'verse.

Magnus

October 17th, 2013
So I wrote this post on the date mentioned and never posted it, I guess because I wanted to add more update, which I'm planning to do in another post that I'm working on today.... Hopefully, I'll actually post that one.

August 28, 2013
So I found a spider on the night of the 24th and with Dysprosium's help, I got him in a jar, just 'cause I felt like keeping him for a while. ...He stayed alive two and a half days. It's completely his fault for not eating the insects I gave him! Anyway, I had meant to do a daily post on how he was doing, but I kept not doing it... and then he died. Sigh. Well, I have some pictures!

When I first found him on my hand towel...
Not long after I'd named him Magnus...
While he was eating on a cricket... or... something. You can't really see it very well.
And just a random picture - nothing specific was going on. The beetle you see in with him was named Frodo, by my brothers.

So... um... he was my second pet ever and it was exciting.

Meteor Shower!

August 12th, 2013
So there was a meteor shower last night. Apparently, there's also one tonight, so that's exciting. :D But anyway, last night, I went outside and lay on our trampoline at about 10:30 while my family was still watching Gladiator. There was some cloud cover, so I didn't see any meteors, but I thought it was gorgeous. I didn't stay out there long, though, because I'm addicted to Facebook. But at around 11, when most of my family was outside, I went and joined them. Two were on the roof, which was apparently the better place to be because they saw about three meteors before us on the trampoline saw any. But that was okay, because I was busy making up a story with Nitrogen by each one adding one word. We didn't get very far on it before we were distracted, and so started another one, this time with Dad and Mom, and occasionally, Carbon and Potassium. I very much doubt I'll get it fully right, but I somehow remember this story fairly well.

Once upon a time, there was a fat man who really wanted cake. But he couldn't have cake because he couldn't lose weight that way, so he decided to eat garlic while whistling a happy dirge.
Suddenly, a giant spider smiled at his terrified companion. She leaped back and swiftly blew bubbles at him, then used her sword to stab the spider's eye. Unfortunately, no one knew the technique that could save the universe from definite destruction....

I lose it there. But yeah... that's how random it was. Anyway, while that story was being created, I believe I saw about three meteors, but I'm sure more than that passed by in that time. Oh, and Nitrogen let me hold his hand almost the whole time, so that was happy. :) Then I believe Meinerium and I made up a story together, during which time Dysprosium came out and Dad, Mom, Lanthanum, Potassium, and Argon went inside. Mine and Meinerium's story really made no sense at all, which is all I remember about it, so we started another one with Nitrogen which also only made sense in the very slightest, but it was still fun because it caused much laughter. :) Then I had the idea to make it so that we contributed sentences rather than one word each, and we got Dysprosium to join, so we told a story about a purple elephant and savage townspeople. After that story, we accidentally figured out how the Q came about. This particular story was really short, but Meinerium started it by introducing us to some astronauts in the depths of space that were observing a black hole, Nitrogen said they were eaten by the black hole and found themselves in a realm where time and space meant nothing, and I said that these astronauts later became known as the Q. I said my sentence very conclusively, so Dysprosium was kind of left with "the end", but we're all quite delighted that we finally discovered where the Q came from! :D I think we only told one or two stories after that, and then we went inside, at which point it was nearly one in the morning.

August 13th, 2013
Last night, I was more prepared. I wore knee socks as well as shoes ('cause last night I didn't have any shoes... I had socks, but it was still cold), plus I had cloth all up both my arms and even on my hands for sort of makeshift fingerless gloves. Oh, and a trench coat and my suuuuper long scarf that Dysprosium gave me. So I was all prepared for coldness and stuff. I went outside at nearly midnight and expected Vanadium, at least, to be out there. However, I quickly discovered that Dysprosium had gone on a walk and had took Vanadium with her. So I decided to take my Kindle outside since I was alone out there because I knew several of my friends in a group chat on Facebook were online, plus, my Kindle was actually fully charged! (That's a rarity at this stage.) When I got on Facebook, there were three Good Friends online, but not long after I'd gotten on, two left. So I talked to Jj until about two at which point Becca joined in! And then Becca's older brother joined for a little bit, sort of... and then Yuri joined in, and it was joyfulness for a while, and then we all went to bed. Despite having a Kindle in my face for a lot of the time, I saw twelve meteors! Oh, and around 1:30, I thought I heard a wildcat, but I think it was actually the neighbor's sprinklers turning on... at 1:30 in the morning. Seriously, though, not long after I heard a hissing noise that I thought was a mountain lion, I heard the neighbor's sprinklers going!
Okay, so I may not have seen a lot of meteors, but last night was my first time seeing the night sky from a roof that I remember... well, when I was about seven we would watch fireworks from my Uncle's roof, but still. It was beautiful! I loved looking at it sort of upside down, it was disorienting in a really neat way. Also, I didn't notice that the moon was somehow out of sight until one. I am so unobservant. :D Uuuum, so yeah, I stayed up far longer than I did last last night and didn't feel as tired by the time I went to bed. I must have been pretty fatigued though, 'cause my brain was really not working. I have witnesses! Anyway, I had a fabulous night. I don't think I'm gonna stay up that long any time soon, though. :)
